Ted’s Montana Grill

Hi guys, and welcome to another Tyler’s fry review! This time, I went to another location in the Easton shopping mall area, as the last location treated me pretty well, and I figured it would be a good idea to try for round two in the area, as before the last review, I had very limited exposure to the food in that area. So, how did this location, Ted’s Montana Grill turn out?

Address: Easton Gateway 4169, Worth Ave, Columbus, OH 43219

Cut: Straight Cut, hand-cut style.

Thickness: 4/10

Crispiness: 3.5/10

Salt/Seasoning: Very light salt/no seasoning.

Price: $5.50/serving

So, these fries were served lukewarm, but fresh (i.e. they were kind of room temperature, but no degradation of the potato from the presumed sitting out). Fries were a hand cut style, with very minimal residual grease leftover (as can be an issue with these fries). Serving size and price were in the normal range for fry sides. Texture was very pleasant on the interior, and the fries were clearly good potatoes, but the outside had a more questionable texture, and the fries were too plain to make up for the long sitting, and possible slight under-cooking. This is also noted in the fries having a very pale/dull color outside of the areas that had visible skins (the photos really don’t show this well, but it was clear when at the restaurant). Overall, the potatoes were good, but something was less than ideal in the cooking/preparation process, as these fries were some of the weaker fries I’ve had in the last year.
